Hi Darren
Its good to hear that you enjoy our tea, but sorry that you are unable to purchase the 1100 bag from our mail order service.
This service was set up to enable our consumers to purchase their favourite tea, as it is not really available outside Scotland and Northern Ireland. The 1100 teabags are only available from either a cash & carry or wholesaler and tend to be purchased by caterers and not by individual consumers. It is possible to purchase a bag containing 400 teabags, 3 of these would give you 1200 teabags. If you order them on one order there would only be one postage charge of £6.95.
I hope this information is useful and that you will continue to enjoy drinking Nambarrie tea".

Hi David
We were really pleased to hear that you have been able to purchase your Nambarrie supplies from your local Costcutter. Costcutter do not actually purchase directly from ourselves. They make their purchases via a different outlet so for this reason we are unable to tell you the Costcutter Stores that will have Nambarrie on their shelves. We have no influence over this decision but would be very interested to hear from you which Costcutter store it is that you are purchasing them from. We hope that you can continue to enjoy your cup of Nambarrie.

I live in the Midlands of England and am totally unable to buy my favourite teabags!
Only when I visit friends in Scotland am I able to obtain them and usualy bring down 5/6 cartons, otherwise I have to ask them to purchase and go to the trouble and expense of posting them down.
Could you please, please tell me where I can obtain these locally and if this is not possible.....why not?
Thank you

For many years I also used to buy Nambarrie in Somerfield it's bad news for a lot of us that the awful expensive co op has stopped selling it.
I was just about to buy a bulk purchase of Nambarrie from this website, when luck striked and spotted boxes of 80 Nambarrie in my local Costcutter.
I live in London not sure if all Costcutters around the uk stock them, perhaps someone at Nambarrie supply chain will read this and be kind enough to let you know.

Unfortunately since Somerfield has been taken over by the Co-Op they are no longer stocking our tea. I can advise you that you are still able to purchase Nambarrie tea outside Scotland & Northern Ireland, by using our mail order service. The standard postage charge for an order within the UK is £6.95. The orders are sent via a courier firm and require a signature on delivery. If you require an order to be sent outside the UK you will need to contact us for postage costs.
For further details on this service either go to www.nambarrie.co.uk and follow "buy on line" or contact our customer services directly on 0844 892 0128
Keith we are very sorry to hear that you may start looking for an alternative tea to ours. I know that £6.95 sounds a lot for postage but this amount will cover any amount of tea made in 1 order. Tea has a shelf life of between 18 months and 2 years so it will keep if you order a larger quantity. If you just wanted the 12 x 80 teabags that is just under 1000 teabags, which would hopefully keep you going for quite a while.

I am not having much luck locating your tea here in USA. Only one outlet on web, Teadog.com and they are "out of stock". Any other US location that I can order from? Thank you for your help and have a great day, y'all from Texas!

Now that The Co-operative have taken over Somerfield and Nambarrie is no longer a stocked item; and p&p is quite expensive from this website it looks like I shall have to look for another brand of tea.

Nambarrie isn't as strong as it used to be, we now have to use 3 bags to get a decent strong pot of tea (previously 2 bags was used). I'm considering switching to an alternate variety because of this.

Hi there, I am wondering if anyone out there can let me know of any stockists of Nambarrie in the south of England? I used to buy it from Booths in the lake district, or Scotland when I was up there. But I havent been to Scotland for some time, and Booths no longer stock it. Thanks!!!

When we say we haven't changed the blend, this means that we blend different types of tea together to ensure we always meet the set 'taste profile' for the Nambarrie tea blend. Whilst the taste of individual yields from different tea estates and harvests may vary, our benchmark blended 'taste profile' doesn't. We taste hundreds of cups of tea a day to ensure that we maintain this consistency. There are a number of factors which could effect the taste of your cup of tea, including the water, particularly if you're in a hard water area. Again, we apologise if anyone is experiencing this difference, but we can assure you that this isn't a recognised change at our end. We have recently changed our packaging and the recommendation for using a teabag for two or more cups has been removed in favour for a communication about our achievements in developing environmentally friendly packaging. This doesn't mean that the product inside the box has changed and can't be used for more than one cup, but this really depends on individual preference of strength. The only thing I might suggest is that there used to be a difference in taste between our boxes of tea and our big bags of tea, which were originally developed for the caterer. If you had switched from say buying a box of 80s teabags to a bag of 440 tea bags you may be able to detect a slightly weaker taste. Just to re-enforce how much we pride ourselves on the taste of our blend, we have now changed the tea in the larger packs so that whatever pack size of Nambarrie you get, you'll always get the same taste. I hope this helps!!! We really do love to hear your thoughts, thank you

Mike--Thank you for your gracious reply. We are sure Nambarrie's has not changed the blend or recipe. The taste and strength of the teas themselves that go into it is what has presumably changed. Is this not possible? Also, I seem to remember that the old Nambarrie boxes carried a recommendation that one teabag be used for two or more cups. There is no such recommendation now, which, if the former is true, would indicate a reduction in strength ...

I have been working with the Nambarrie blend for 20 years, we are sorry to hear that some of you have had concerns over a difference in the taste of your tea. We would like to reassure you that the tea blend recipe for Nambarrie is unique and has not changed in any way. The recipe is made up from Kenyan and Assam teas, the combination of these tea's creates a strong, full bodied quality blend. Our tea buyers and tasters have spent years training to a high standard to ensure that the Nambarrie flavour remains consistent throughout the year despite seasonal variations. We would never compromise the wonderful taste of Nambarrie that has built such a loyal following by adjusting the recipe even slightly. We are proud of the taste of our tea, and hope all those who have Nambarrie as their favourite drink continue to be satisfied with its unique and special taste.

Dear Nambarrians, Yes you did delete my message, but unfortunately I remember its content, to wit: Nambarrie tea now tastes completely different than it did a few years ago; it has totally lost its original powerful and unique flavor. It may be true, as you claim, that currently the blend is being made the same as before the move to England, but the change in taste began before that, so your claim is irrelevant. What happened to the Namabarrie tea of, say, three to five years ago? Are the teas that went into that blend no longer available? In my and others' opinion, it is a desecration to call the current blend Nambarrie. You have betrayed not only your roots, but the tea itself.
