Since 1981, the Radio Clyde Cash for Kids appeal has been helping to raise money for the most vulnerable children in Scotland's communities - kids whose lives have been affected by all kinds of financial, emotional, physical and educational challenges.
To date, the appeal has raised over £15 million, which has been used to provide invaluable support to children, families, schools, nurseries and community groups. Over the years, this money has made a real difference to over 1.4 million children, helping to give youngsters across Scotland the best possible start in life.
This year, the Nambarrie team hit the streets of Glasgow to raise money for Cash for Kids - helping to make sure that every child enjoys the magic of Christmas. Over three separate days, the team worked tirelessly to raise as much as possible - at the Radio Clyde Roadshow on Buchanan Street on 22 November, at the big Christmas lights switch on at Coatbridge on 28 November, and then back to a busy Buchanan Street on 6 December to brew up a huge pot of tea for the crowds of festive shoppers.
The team managed to pour over 3,000 cups of tea, raising over £1,200 (tbc) which goes directly to Cash for Kids. Every penny will help improve the lives of the kids in our communities who need it most - so a big ‘thank you’ to all those who helped out.
Here's to raising even more for Cash for Kids in the years to come!
